Use WorldCat to Send ILL Requests

1. Search WorldCat database for your title.
2. On the result list you may see if Houston Public Library owns this title. If yes, stop and check the HPL catalog to place a hold. If no, proceed.
3. From the list of records, select the entry that most corresponds to what you are seeking. Click on that title.
4. Under External Resources, click the Request an Interlibrary Loan link. This will open up a new window, and take you to the ILLiad Logon page.
5. Logon to ILLiad or register as a new user.
6. After logging in or creating a new user account, a request form will fill in automatically with information from the WorldCat record.
7. Review the ILL request form. Select a format and a library fee. These required fields do not update automatically.
8. Submit the request with using the Submit Request button.
