Brown Bag Author Panel | 12 NOON
Bring your own lunch and join us for a special visit from critically-acclaimed graphic novelists Terry Moore, Barbara Slate, Esther Pearl Watson, and Gene Luen Yang. All will be available to sign copies of their books after the panel discussion. Copies of the books will be available for purchase from Domy Books. The panel discussion will be moderated by Tuan Nguyen. (90 minutes)

Join us for a visit from graphic artist and novelist Esther Pearl Watson (Unlovable), who will discuss her work and take questions from the audience. (1 hour)
Comics Medium Workshop by novelist Gene Luen Yang | 11 AM
Join us for this special workshop led by graphic novelist Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese), who will talk about the process of creating stories using comics as a medium. He will focus on the features of the comics medium that distinguish it from the other media, define key terms, such as comics, panel size, panel transitions, and panel composition, and then direct participants as they work in groups to solve storytelling problems. (1 hour)
You Can Do a Graphic Novelby novelist Barbara Slate | 3:30 PM
Join us for this special workshop led by graphic novelist Barbara Slate (You Can Do a Graphic Novel). Participants young and old will receive the inspiration and know-how to get the stories they want to tell out of their heads and onto paper through graphic novels – one of today’s most compelling mediums for sharing stories.. Participants, if you have a graphic novel or comic book in development, please bring your work. (90 minutes)
